About Us

Top of Westney Condominium Residences is a friendly community conveniently located at the junction of Kingston Road and Westney Road North in Ajax, Ontario, Canada.  Built in 1989 and declared a Condominium in 1990 it is comprised of 156 luxury 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units ranging from 700 to 1600 square feet.  All units have balconies and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors for access.  Heat and air conditioning in each unit is controlled by the resident.  Each unit has its own designated parking spot, with many units having parking for 2 vehicles.

Top of Westney Condominium Residences is a smoke free community. There is no smoking anywhere in the building, including suites, balconies/patios, common use areas and within 9 metres of the building.

The building is also pet free, however, service animals may apply for an exemption.

There’s a heated outdoor swimming pool with lounge area, gym, showers, and saunas.  To the south of the building is a large patio area with 2 gas barbecues.

Public transportation is almost at the door step.  Durham Transit runs a regular bus service along Kingston Road to Oshawa to the East and Scarborough Town Centre to the West.  GO Transit runs a regular bus service to Oshawa in the East and York Mills/Yonge or Finch Ave/Yonge in the West.  GO Transit trains are just south of Kingston Road.  A regular north/south bus service provided by Durham Transit connects the train station to our community.  If you like to walk, it takes 20 minutes.

Located opposite the condominium is Westney Heights Plaza.  It boasts a large medical centre consisting of a walk-in clinic (open 7 days per week), pharmacy, dentist, and x-ray service.   The following banks: CIBC, TD and Scotiabank are available within this plaza.  Its stores include: Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobey’s, Rogers, Fido, Dollarama, Canada Computing, Opticians and Allstate Insurance.  There is a variety of cafés and restaurants including: Starbucks, KFC, Harvey’s, Pizza Pizza, Fish and Chips and an Italian bakery.  In all there are 48-businesses located in the Plaza, that are a convenient short walk away.

The 401 is easily accessed just south on Westney Road both east and westbound.

RioCan Durham Centre is easily accessed by public transit (8 minutes), car (5 minutes) and for those who like walking its 20 minutes away.  This is a large multi-store complex.

The Maclean Community Centre is a 10-minute walk, and comprises a large gym, indoor swimming pool with 170’ water slide, tots pool, library, sports injury and physiotherapy clinic, skateboard park, two baseball diamonds, and a soccer pitch.

Another shopping plaza is in the next block north of Macleans Community Centre.

A multi-use path running north/south through the natural landscape of the Miller Creek Park Area stretches from Kingston and Chapman Road to Taunton Road and Harwood Ave

There are 17 public schools, several private and a Montessori school all within a 2 km radius of our community, and several high schools within 2.5kms.
